FAQ: Installation on Windows 98

When installing on Windows 98 (not Windows 98 SE) the installation program used to check the .NET requirements does not automatically restart after reboot. Reboots are sometimes requested by the Microsoft components installed.

There are two ways to avoide / compensate this problem:
  1. Check all the requirements before installing powerDOCUMENTS This will ensure that no Microsoft components have to be installed during the setup of powerDOCUMENTS.

  2. Restart the installation program manually after each reboot. If you used the default path for unzipping the install set this program can be found under "c:\powerDOCUMENTStemp\setup.exe".
