FAQ: Upgrading powerDOCUMENTS

To upgrade to a newer version of powerDOCUMENTS follow this procedure:
  1. Backup database
    You should backup the database (default path: "c:\Program Files\KLV\powerDOCUMENTS 2\powerDOCUMENTS.sdb").
    However: reinstallation of powerDOCUMENTS will not delete an existing database file.

  2. Backup config file
    If you have changed any configuration settings you should also backup the config file (default path: "c:\Program Files\KLV\powerDOCUMENTS 2\Config.xml").

  3. Uninstall active version of powerDOCUMENTS
    This is done via ControlPanel > Add/Remove programs.

  4. Install new version of powerDOCUMENTS
